Søren Munk
Contemplative Faculty
Søren Munk received his Educated Master of Science from The Technical University of Denmark and is also a certified psychotherapist from ID Psychotherapist Education.
Søren has devoted a large part of his life to the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism, and for 16 years lived, studied and meditated at the monastery of Pullahari, completing their 5 years programme of training in philosophy and meditation.
Søren has a strong interest in the mind and its true nature, and a great curiosity about what prevents us from experiencing and unfolding it. He has spent over 25 years researching this through Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, meditation and retreats, and over the last 10 years also from a Western perspective, such as therapy, philosophy and the people who embrace both the Eastern and Western approach (e.g. Allan Wallace, Ken Wilber, Pema Chodron, Daniel Goleman, Brene Brown, Mark Epstein, etc.)
Soren lives at Vækstcenteret in Denmark, a contemplative community under the guidance of founder Jes Bertelsen.
