Terri Hayes lives, works and plays on the traditional, unceded territory of the Secwepemc and Ktunaxa nations. She is grateful for the opportunity to learn from this land and its people as she continues on her path toward truth and reconciliation.
Terri has been an educator for more than 2 decades, working as a primary school teacher, a teacher-librarian and a learning leader before moving into school administration. She is currently a middle school principal with Rocky Mountain School District 6 in Invermere, British Columbia.
Terri is the mother of 4 children, and has 11 grandchildren. She enjoys waterskiing, swimming and golfing in the summer, and skating on the lake and skiing in winter. In her space time, she enjoys making quilts for her family.
Terri has been a member of the Kootenay-Boundary Compassionate Systems Leadership cohort for the past two years. She is excited to continue along this path in the upcoming year.
