I hold two master’s degrees, one in Translation and another one in Political communication. I have always been a very curious person, and felt that this curiosity was never totally satified, even after reading books, attending workshops, until I worked in an alternative school.

There I met a systemic trainer and teacher, and I worked with him for several years. He introduced me to new ways of teaching and learning. He made me understand that everything is first a matter of inner integration. I can honestly say that he was the essence of my education as I could make sense of all my academic background, passions and heart. Gradually, all my interests, communication, art, philosophy, facilitation, psychology, poetry, etc., started to find a place to meet, and didn’t feel separate anymore.

When I came across the Compassionate Framework, I loved it, as it embraces everything I try to honour: the heart, which is empathy; the mind, which is the intellectual; and the soul, which is acting from a place of wholeness. It welcomes what we have to offer while remaining an open system, as we are.

I do believe this framework will be of great value in Belgium, and will help teachers to navigate the new reforms whose primary focus is on systems thinking, collaboration and interdisciplinary content.

My intention is to introduce it to my students, my school, and hopefully to wider audiences in the future.
