Kaz is a Verde Islander from the Philippines and a community organiser dedicated to empowering frontline communities and emerging leaders in the Asia-Pacific, especially young people of colour. She works as a consultant and training facilitator with AktivAsia, the Leading Change Network, and Australian Progress and is the Collective Impact Lead at Climate Action Network Australia (CANA).

Her work is grounded in decolonial and participatory approaches, drawing on Freirean pedagogy, Deep Democracy, systems thinking, liberation psychology, and Marshall Ganz’s public narrative and people, power, and change framework for organising. Kaz creates relational learning spaces that centre care, connection, and collective wellbeing, supporting grassroots activists and leaders to reconnect with their communities’ histories of resistance and to shape pathways toward shared liberation and flourishing. She develops leaders who act with courage, compassion, and deep community connection, weaving these approaches with intersectional, heart-centred leadership and community care practices rooted in her home culture. Through this work, she strengthens collective capacity for ongoing learning and action toward a just, equitable and sustainable world.

Outside of Kaz’s ikigai (life purpose), she finds joy in the ocean, surfing and playing guitar.
