Jordan is currently serving as the Director of Academics (JK-Year 12) at Upper Canada College in Toronto, Canada. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership for teaching, learning and assessment across the school. At the center of his approach is the cultivation of positive trust-based relationships with students, faculty and school leaders. Jordan is focused on aligning pedagogy with UCC’s mission and values while preparing students for a rapidly changing global and digital landscape. Currently, he is excited to be involved in exploring the experimental adoption of generative artificial intelligence across numerous areas of teaching and learning. He is also involved in the design of an innovative new IB Diploma Programme graduation pathway that integrates systems thinking, design thinking and digital innovation.
Prior to this, Jordan has held teaching and leadership positions at Branksome Hall in Toronto, Elmwood School in Ottawa and Shanghai American School in Shanghai, China. He is originally from Kenora, Ontario and spent his high school years overseas in Chiang Mai, Thailand, at Chiang Mai International School. Jordan holds a Master of Arts in English from Carleton University and teaching certification from The College of New Jersey. Jordan has led a wide range of initiatives, from interdisciplinary learning skills development, professional learning communities and assessment innovation across IB and non-IB schools.
