I am the Head of Daycare Services at Børnehuset Den Grønne Kile in Lejre Kommune, Denmark. I lead an organization serving approximately 180 children and 40 employees, where my primary focus is to create the best possible conditions for children’s development, learning, and wellbeing while supporting a strong and sustainable professional culture among staff.

Alongside my leadership role, I am a trained psychotherapist. My combined background in leadership and psychotherapy has given me a deep interest in human development, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and the conditions that enable individuals and communities to flourish. Throughout my professional life, I have worked closely with children, families, and professionals, and I have witnessed how compassion can transform both personal growth and organizational culture.

My leadership approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, reflection, and a genuine commitment to creating psychologically safe environments where people feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe that compassion is not only a personal quality but also a practical and essential leadership skill that strengthens resilience, trust, collaboration, and wellbeing.

I chose to join the Compassion Master Practitioner program because I want to deepen my understanding and application of compassion in both my personal and professional life. I am particularly interested in exploring how compassion-based approaches can support childrens opportunities to thrive and learn, leadership, strengthen relationships, and contribute to healthier and more sustainable workplaces.

Through this program, I hope to further develop my capacity to lead with wisdom, courage, and compassion, while integrating compassion-based practices into my work with employees, children, families, and the wider community. I look forward to learning from fellow participants and contributing my own experiences from leadership, psychotherapy, and early childhood education.
