Danielle Jones is the System of Support for Expanded Learning (SSEL) County Lead for Region 6 based out of the Stanislaus County Office of Education. In her capacity as a trainer and technical assistance provider she supports over 200 expanded learning programs throughout Region 6 which includes Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Calaveras and San Joaquin Counties. Region 6 is located in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley.
Danielle has been blessed to work in education for over 20 years. The majority of the time has been spent in various leadership roles in expanded learning. She started her career in education as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) with the Corporation for National and Community Service. The VISTA program is considered the Domestic Peace Corps. After her year of service, she was hired as Regional Lead for the Delta Sierra Service Learning Network and a District Coordinator for the Project Citizen grant. After a few years serving as a lead and district coordinator, she was given the opportunity to be an Afterschool Planning Coordinator in support of the Project SAFE Consortium. Her expertise is in creating safe and brave spaces which focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with the districts she serves in the region. A little over five years ago she transitioned into her current role as the SSEL County Lead. As a County Lead, Danielle was afforded the opportunity to be introduced to the Compassionate Systems Framework with the Center for Systems Awareness as a part of her work within the System of Support for Expanded Learning.
Danielle also serves as the co-lead for the Region 6 STEAM Hub and is a certified trainer for the following programs – Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS), Eliminating the Barriers to Learning and the Growth Heartset, Creating a Culture of Caring. She currently resides in Oakdale, Ca with her family and enjoys cooking, traveling, reading and is devoted to a life of service.
