Dan is the Director of Wellbeing at Woodleigh School, a progressive ELC to Year 12 school situated on the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne, Australia. In this role Dan is responsible for the strategic leadership and implementation of the school’s vision for holistic wellbeing across its three campuses. At the heart of this approach sits the Compassionate Systems Framework, and Woodleigh is committed to utilising this approach to support wellbeing, learning and to equip all members of the community with the tools and capabilities necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Dan has extensive experience as a leader in education, learning and wellbeing. This has seen him fulfill roles as Head of School, Head of Wellbeing and Head of Campus in Independent Schools in Australia. Dan is committed to supporting holistic and experiential approaches to wellbeing and learning, which has seen him lead a Year 9 Residential Campus at Wesley College Melbourne and develop innovative interdisciplinary and project-based learning curriculums. Dan is excited for the limitless potential for supporting social and environmental regeneration through the application of tools and practices that support the building of awareness, resilience, compassion, systems sensing and thinking.
As a senior leader at Woodleigh school, and as an active member of the Asia Pacific hub for the Centre for Systems Awareness, Dan is looking forward to the opportunity to connect with others and develop his capacity to lead the systems change that is needed in the world.
