Nox̱s Moox̱shl way̓, Ksim Lax̱ Sgiik n̓iiy̓ – Wilps Gwiix Maaw̓ wil witgwiy̓. Nisga’a n̓iiy̓.
Siwilaay̓inskw n̓iiy̓ . . . teacher, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend – she is a lifelong learner, teacher, educator and leader. Empowering learners is her passion . . . allowing students to find what inspires them is what drives her teaching and her leadership.
With an amazing sense of humour and powerful laugh, she looks for ways to advocate with and for Nisga’a-nizing all that we do, grounding our learning in our traditional teachings and understandings balanced with revised BC curriculum. In the words of the late Dr. Bert McKay, “Your job here is two-fold, allow our children to be proud of who they are and where they come from and receive a comparable education to any other child in this province.”
Nox̱s Moox̱s has four children, four sisters, four grandchildren and walks in the legacy of her ancestors yesterday, today & always.
