Andrea Hale

School Counsellor and Team Leader – Speaker and Clinical Psychotherapist
 School District 43 : Coquitlam
British Columbia Hub | Canada

Andrea is a Registered Clinical Psychotherapist, Teacher Counsellor, and School-based Resilience Leader, with an approach grounded in embodied, mindful self-compassion and a lens of equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care. In this leadership role, she collaboratively develops and facilitates school-wide initiatives, embedding these practices into the everyday culture of her school community. She is located within the Vancouver lower mainland, where her school district sits on the unceded traditional territories of the Kwikwetlem First Nation, and she serves a diverse community. Her path into this work began with personal story, alongside a lasting curiosity about family systems and attachment. Over time, that curiosity has grown into a wider commitment to strengthening connection and resilience across communities and systems.

Outside her professional life, Andrea is a parent to four young adults. A former professional musician and a black belt in Karate, she carries that same sense of discipline and presence into her work, and brings creativity, humour, and curiosity to everything she does. She’s grateful to live close to the forest trails of a large urban park, and rarely passes up a chance to be outdoors, meet new people, or enjoy the beauty of the West Coast.
