Carnegie Collaboration Staten Island

For the past two years, we have worked in Staten Island, New York to develop a collective impact process shaped by systems thinking tools and focused on equity – working in partnership with FSG, a pioneer in collective impact, and Policy Link, a leader in community-based equity projects in United States education. Over a short span of time, the process has engaged the school district, many community-based organizations, and local philanthropy and businesses with an overall aim to deepen the quality of the relational field so that difficult issues like equity can be addressed more effectively. The project is about to commence a second two-year cycle where more people involved with local leadership in Staten Island will participate in the ongoing capacity building and research processes on the ground
